Vape Pods in Scarborough

Vape pods are small, replaceable cartridges that hold e-liquid and click into a compact battery, and together the two parts make up a pod system. The pod holds the coil and the liquid, the battery supplies the power, and when a pod is used up you swap it out rather than dealing with tanks and tools. That simplicity is why pod systems have become the most common style of vape we sell at GTA Vapes Port Union.

If you are new to pods, the short version is this: pick a device, pick pods that fit it, and pick a flavour and strength you like. Our staff walk customers through those three choices every day at our Scarborough store on Rylander Blvd, just off Kingston Rd. This page covers the basics, the difference between closed and open pods, and the pod brands we keep in stock.

Closed pods vs open refillable pods

Closed pods come pre-filled and sealed. You click one into the device, use it until it is empty, then swap in a new one. STLTH is the best known closed pod system in Canada, and Level X follows the same idea with its own pod format. Closed pods are the low-effort option: no bottles, no refilling, no coil changes, and the same flavour from the first puff to the last.

Open pods, often called refillable pods, have a fill port so you top them up yourself from a bottle of e-liquid. The Caliburn line by UWELL and Oxva’s pod kits are popular examples. Open pods cost less to run over time because you buy liquid by the bottle, and they let you use any flavour and strength from our full e-liquid wall rather than only what a manufacturer pre-fills. The trade-off is a little upkeep: refilling every day or two, and replacing the pod or coil when the flavour starts to fade.

If you want even less to manage than a closed pod, a disposable vape is a single sealed unit with nothing to change at all. If you are after more power and adjustability than any pod offers, we also carry larger e-cigarettes and box-style devices. Pods sit in the middle: small, simple and inexpensive to run.

How pods pair with salt nic e-liquid

Most open pod systems are designed around salt nic e-liquid. Salt nicotine is formulated to work at the lower wattages a pod device produces, which is why the two are usually sold side by side. Strengths in Canada run up to the 20mg/mL federal maximum, and pods handle the full range. Freebase e-liquid works in many refillable pods too, usually at lower strengths, and some larger pod devices are built with it in mind.

Matching strength to device matters more than most people expect. A tight mouth-to-lung pod behaves differently than an airy one, and the right strength depends on which you have. Our staff can look at your device and point you to a salt nic strength and flavour that suit it, whether that is fruit flavours, mint, menthol or a tobacco flavour. You can read more on our salt nic and e-liquids pages, or just bring your device in and ask.

Why buy vape pods in Scarborough at our Port Union store

Pods are the one vape product where a quick conversation saves the most money, because buying pods that do not fit your device, or a strength that does not suit it, means starting over. We keep our pod wall organized by device, our staff know which pods are cross-compatible, and if we do not stock the exact model you need we will say so and suggest the closest match. Stock changes week to week, so call ahead at (416) 724-8237 if you are coming in for something specific.

Hours are the other reason customers from Port Union, West Rouge, Centennial and Highland Creek make us their regular shop. We are open until midnight Thursday to Saturday, and no other vape shop nearby matches those hours. We open at 8am on weekdays too, so running out of pods before work or late in the evening is not a problem here.

If you would rather not come in, we offer same-day local delivery on orders of $60 or more within 10 km of the store. Order by 6pm and your pods arrive the same evening. Delivery is for adults 19 and over, and the driver checks photo ID at handoff, the same as we do at the counter. Full details are on our Scarborough vape delivery page.

Pod brands in stock

STLTH remains the anchor of our closed pod selection, with the standard line and newer formats on the shelf, and Level X sits beside it as the other major closed system we carry. On the refillable side, the Caliburn line by UWELL covers everything from slim starter pods to larger models, and Oxva pods and kits round out the open systems. We also stock replacement pods for Vice, Allo, Flavour Beast and several more lines, which you can browse under other pod brands.

Beyond the pods themselves, the same wall holds the devices they click into, from simple closed-system batteries to adjustable pod kits from Smok, Vaporesso, Voopoo, Geekvape, Aspire and Lost Vape. If you are choosing your first setup, our devices and essentials page is a good starting point, or come in and handle a few. Model availability shifts with each order, so for a specific pod or colour, phone first.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between closed and open vape pods?

Closed pods come pre-filled with e-liquid and are replaced once empty, so there is no refilling. Open pods are refillable: you fill them yourself from a bottle of e-liquid and replace the pod or coil once the flavour fades. Closed pods are simpler, while open pods cost less to run and give you more choice of flavours and strengths.

What nicotine strengths do vape pods come in?

In Canada, e-liquid and pre-filled pods are capped at 20mg/mL of nicotine. Closed pods are commonly sold at that maximum and in a few lower strengths, while refillable pods can be filled with any strength of salt nic or freebase e-liquid. Our staff can help you match a strength to your device.

How do I know when to replace a pod or coil?

The usual signs are fading flavour, less vapour than normal, or a burnt taste. Most refillable pods last somewhere between several days and a couple of weeks depending on how much you vape and which e-liquid you use. Keeping the pod topped up rather than running it dry helps it last longer.

Do you deliver vape pods in Scarborough?

Yes. We offer same-day local delivery on orders of $60 or more within 10 km of our Port Union store, with orders placed by 6pm delivered the same day. Delivery is available to adults 19 and over only, and our driver checks photo ID at the door before handing anything over.

Which pod brands does GTA Vapes Port Union carry?

Our closed pod systems centre on STLTH and Level X, and our refillable selection is led by the Caliburn line from UWELL and Oxva, alongside pods for Vice, Allo, Flavour Beast and other lines. Stock changes regularly, so call (416) 724-8237 to check on a specific pod or device before you make the trip.
